From time to time, the field sites encounter heavy traffic to the backend of the site due to planned security testing or unplanned malicious activity.

During those incidents, Akamai and Pagely will automatically harden their systems to prevent intruders from entering and defacing your site.

However, during that period of extra caching, you might experience an error when attempting to publish or update a post. The error may say something like "cannot publish because no valid route was found."

If this happens, follow these troubleshooting steps.

  • Save your work as a draft — you should still be able to do that. If the system does not permit you to save, copy your draft to a text editor.
  • Log out entirely from WordPress.
  • If you are working remotely, ensure that your Comcast VPN is turned on (and preferably set to "Full Tunnel").
  • Clear your browser's local cache and cookies. In most browsers, you'll find a control in your settings labeled "Clear Browsing Data." An outdated cookie or cached support file may cause the system to block your publishing authentication.
  • Log in again from your site's /wp-admin screen using Comcast SSO.
  • Attempt to republish your work. If you still experience a "no route" error, please wait 60 seconds, then try again.
If you still experience a publishing issue after trying these troubleshooting steps, please open a ticket with our team and include the IP Address you're working from.
